Five Arrested In Freeville Drug Bust

On January 27, 2019 while following up on a previous methamphetamine manufacturing investigation Troopers stationed at SP Ithaca located materials and the remnants of materials used to manufacture methamphetamine at 35 Bills Way (Congers Mobile Home Park) in Freeville, NY.

As a result of the investigation members of the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT), New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) and members of Troop C BCI executed a search warrant issued by the Town of Dryden Court at the residence.

Seized during the search were items consisting of hazardous materials used to manufacture methamphetamine and approximately 300 grams of marijuana.

As a result of the investigation members of CNET charged the following subjects with Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the Third Degree (Class D-Felony)

Antonio A. Bentley, age 32, Ithaca, NY.
Tanya M. Leonard, age 46, Freeville, NY.
Michelle L. Davis, age 43, Ithaca, NY
William B. Oliver, age 44, Freeville, NY.
Jacob A. Bennett, age 19, Freeville, NY.

As a result of the investigation members of CNET charged the following subject with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the Third Degree (Class E-Felony):
Tanya M. Leonard, age 46, Freeville, NY.

All 5 subjects were arraigned in the Town of Ithaca Court on January 28, 2019. Bentley, Bennett and Davis were remanded to the Tompkins County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 property bond. Leonard and Oliver were released on their own recognizance.

Troopers were assisted with this investigation by members of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office and the Dryden Ambulance Service.
