One Injured In Early Morning Shooting Incident

One person has been sent to the hospital after an early morning shooting incident in the City of Elmira.

This morning at approximately 2:30AM Elmira Police responded to an address in the 800 block of Johnson St for a report of gun shots.  Shortly after arrival on scene the Chemung County Communications Center received a call from Arnot Ogden Hospital reporting a gunshot victim present in the emergency department.

Police responded to the ER and made contact with the gunshot victim, who had suffered a single gunshot wound. The victim was being treated and prepared for transfer to another hospital for treatment.

Upon speaking with the victim and witnesses police learned that the victim was shot near the location of the original call on Johnson Street. Police say the victim remains in stable, but critical condition and the investigation into this matter is ongoing.

What kind of police officer responds to a call of shooting and aproaches the callers door in front of several people involved in shooting and says”you called where was the shooter standing” then all others involve walk by callers house making threats in ftont of officer. So now who is at fault when something haooens to the witness or his newborn baby
