Two Arrested On Drug Charges In Horseheads

On July 5, 2019 at 2:02 p.m. Officers of the Horseheads Police Department responded to Travelodge located on Fairport Lane to investigate a report of damage to a coin machine.

Police were able to track down two people involved in the damage to the coin machine and theft of the coins, one of whom was renting a room at the Travelodge. Officers located both of the subjects on premises and during the investigation, officers observed several stacks of quarters and assorted drug paraphernalia in their room.  Both subjects were placed in custody.

Police arrested 24 year old Cody W. Husner and 25 year old Levi J. Bailey, both of Elmira.

Husner and Bailey were both charged with a B felony / Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, (methamphetamine), arraigned and remanded to Chemung County Jail without bail.

 The stolen coin machine coins were also recovered.  Further charges are pending.
