Ashland Man Arrested On Burglary Charges

The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police have arrested 23 year-old  Damion J. Stanley of Ashland after an investigation into several burglaries that took place earlier this month.

Both agencies began investigations into burglaries that occurred at several homes on Comfort Hill Road, Walsh Road, and Sunset Road in early July. On Monday, the Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the New York State Police and New York State Parole Supervision, executed a search warrant at Stanley’s residence. There, investigators recovered numerous items to include items from the burglaries.

Police say Stanley is currently on Parole Supervision for a Burglary that occurred in 2017.

As a result of the investigation, STANLEY has been charged with one count of Burglary in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Ashland Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail without bail on the Burglary charge, as well as on a Warrant for Violation of Parole.
