Medical Provider Charged With Alleged Inappropriate Relationship With Patient

New York State Police have arrested an area Physicians Assistant for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a patient under his care.

After a two-month investigation into allegations he was having an inappropriate relationship with a patient at a substance abuse recovery center, police arrested 48 year old Christopher J. Mu of Elmira. Mu allegedly had a sexual relationship with a patient under his direct care while he was employed as a Physician’s Assistant at Loyola Recovery Center located in Steuben County.

Mu was charged with Rape 3rd Degree, a class E felony.

He was processed and transported to Steuben County C.A.P. court for future arraignment. The State Police were assisted in the investigation by the New York State Justice Center, New York State Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
