Area Police To Step Up DWI Enforcement For Labor Day Holiday

Chemung County Acting Sheriff William A. Schrom announces that Chemung County police agencies will participate in a special enforcement effort to crackdown on impaired driving.

The statewide STOP-DWI Crackdown effort starts today, August 14 and will continue until September 2, 2019. New York State Police, County Sheriffs and municipal law enforcement agencies will collaborate across the state and will be out in force in this coordinated effort to reduce the number of alcohol related injuries and deaths.
